There are a large number of different types of management and leadership qualifications within the UK. These range from academic (Foundation degrees, Bachelor degrees, Masters, Doctorate etc), Professional, Vocational (S/NVQs and VRQs) to learning that is not Officially Accredited (e.g. group learning such as conferences).
There is some overlap between the classes; for example, courses leading to professional or vocational qualifications are often delivered by academic institutions, and group learning is a feature common to the majority of courses leading to accredited qualifications.
Amongst these there are three types that relate to the management and leadership standards, National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) and Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs). If you are interested in S/NVQs in management you can download the qualifications structure for these at levels 2-5 opposite.
